UPDATE: missing – endangered person located!
The subject of an overnight ground search for a 77-year-old missing Alzheimer’s patient has concluded successfully.
Diane Gail Andrew went missing from her residence on NE Rose Point Way, Kingston, around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
She was located about 7 a.m. today, approximately one-quarter mile from her home.
A neighbor alerted a ground search team that Diane was seen in the area. She was found hiding in bushes as if she was trying to hide from those looking for her. Diane was cooperative with the search team and accompanied them back home where she was reunited with her family.
As a precautionary measure, Diane was examined by North Kitsap Fire & Rescue medics. She was uninjured.
The sheriff’s office wishes to extend its grateful appreciation to the volunteers who provided ground search assistance in trying to bring Diane home: Kitsap Search Dogs, Washington Explorer Search and Rescue and North Kitsap Fire & Rescue.
