Our searchers are back tired and muddy. The 77-year-old man remains missing in the Ashford area. The search continues tomorrow.
FROM PIERCE COUNTY EXPLORER SEARCH AND RESCUE:
This morning marked the start of the 3rd day of days and nights searching for a missing person in the shadow of Mt Rainier.
The response and selflessness from around the state has been on display throughout this holiday weekend.
We’d like to thank everyone involved in the ongoing efforts.
I’m sure I’m forgetting people and potentially more folks….
Thank you to the volunteers and ground searchers from our unit, Pierce County 4×4 Search & Rescue, German Shepherd Search Dogs, and Northwest Bloodhounds Search & Rescue.
Thank you to the continuing efforts from the staff at Pierce County Sheriff’s Department, Tacoma Police Department, and Lakewood Police Department.
Thank you to the volunteers who have responded from across the state with ground searchers, dog teams, and 4×4 units from Kitsap, Thurston, Cowlitz, Kittitas, and King counties.
